Babae ka, hindi babae lang.

𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧'𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐲, is a celebration dedicated to recognize all of the challenges women have faced over the years. Such as, inequality, misogyny, lack of rights and abuse.

The recent controversy about a politician making inappropriate remarks about a female celebrity shows that despite many years of struggle, problems such as misogyny are unfortunately still present in the current world.

Women are not subjects for men. A woman is not defined by what is between their thighs, they carry burdens, have emotions and have an individual uniqueness. Remarks like these, little or not, completely disrespects and disregards the value of Women’s Month.

A woman is never just a woman. Each woman embodies power, resilience and courage. They carry stories or struggle and triumph, of silent sorrows and shining dreams.

Women are the foundation of families, represents power, and continuously inspires change. Women deserve respect, equality, dignity and recognition not only during Woman’s Day and Month, but everyday.
