The recent controversy about a politician making inappropriate remarks about a female celebrity shows that despite many years of struggle, problems such as misogyny are unfortunately still present in the current world.
Women are not subjects for men. A woman is not defined by what is between their thighs, they carry burdens, have emotions and have an individual uniqueness. Remarks like these, little or not, completely disrespects and disregards the value of Womenβs Month.
A woman is never just a woman. Each woman embodies power, resilience and courage. They carry stories or struggle and triumph, of silent sorrows and shining dreams.
Women are the foundation of families, represents power, and continuously inspires change. Women deserve respect, equality, dignity and recognition not only during Womanβs Day and Month, but everyday.
