Until then, I’ll sip my coffee and take small bites of pie, pretending the warmth can fill the space you left behind—high school sweethearts who slowly grew distant before graduation ever came.

Please give me a chance, I swear I’ll do better this time; please don’t leave me. I can’t bear the thought of losing you, 𝘰𝘧 𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘶𝘴, of watching our memories fade into something we were too afraid to fight for.

There was a time when your presence felt like home, when every laugh made the world softer and every problem easier to face. Now I sit with the weight of what we lost, wondering how something so warm turned into something so distant.

Our past still lives in me, even if we’ve changed.

If love means fighting, then let me fight for you now. Don’t let this be the end of everything we were and everything we could still become. I’m not ready to turn us into a memory.
