SPORTS NEWS | Pacquiao vs. Barrios Ends in a Majority Draw!
At 46 years old, Manny Pacquiao shocked the world by going the full 12 rounds against WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios — and fighting to a majority draw!
One judge scored the bout 115-113 for Barrios, while the other two had it 114-114, resulting in the draw. The Guardian had it slightly in Pacquiao’s favor, 115-113, in an unofficial scorecard.
“I thought I won… it was a wonderful fight. I only trained for 2 months but I think I’ll fight again — God willing.” Pacquiao said in his post-fight interview.
Barrios quoted “It was an honor. He’s still strong as hell. I’d love to do it again.”
As for a rematch?
Both fighters are open to it.
“Yes, of course, of course,” Pacquiao said. “That’s the only legacy I can leave behind—to give inspiration to the Filipino people and to be proud wherever you are.”
While no official rematch has been announced, the buzz is already building.
