summer

As I'm lying on the grass,

I see a sky so deep and vast,

as time flies by both fast and slow,

I recall summer from years ago.

The burning sun, the children's cheer,

the memories of yesteryear,

yet as I dream of days gone by,

I see the future in the sky.

In every day i see the sun,

I realize there's so much fun,

In life, there are some ups and downs,

But summer takes away my frown.

The tranquil waves, the deep blue seas,

they remind me much of my own dreams,

Amid the summer's shining light,

I hope the future's just as bright.
