UNITED NATIONS 2025 | Bonded Countries in Unity

November 14, 2025 marks the celebration of the United Nations in UM Ilang High School with the theme: "Better together: 80 years and more for peace, development and human rights", a celebration promoting unity for every single country.

This annual celebration commemorates the founding of the UN charter in the year 1945. It was founded with the promise of peace for every nation, established with a beautiful goal to unite every single nation in harmony.

The students of UMIHS started the day with a costume parade, wearing the national costumes from many different countries with pride and grace. The costumes weren't worn for entertainment, they were worn to signify the shared identity and unified history of the entire community.

Our talented students participated in the Asian Parliamentary Debate debated about important topics that relate to the current issues of today's time. Their arguments reflected their brilliance and excellence, representing different sides of an issue, and widening the audience's perspective.

This year's celebration hosted many different competitions that not only helped with the United Nations' goal for unity, but also helped broadcast the talents of a UMian.
