Cultivating student journalists' expertise, UM Tagum College's official student publication, Collegium, initiated the CJ Talks Season 3: Interbranch College Student Publications Press Conference 2024, which took place on June 28, 2024, at UM Tagum College.
Student publications from the different branches of the university participated in the aforementioned event, including The Inquisitive Eye of UM Bansalan, Primum and The Quill of UM Main, The Spectrum of UM Guianga, The New ExposΓ© of UM Digos, Lumina of UM Panabo, Pendulum of UM PeΓ±aplata, and The Maroon Ink of UM Ilang. Moreover, Dalampasigan and The Shoreline of Magnaga National High School also participated in the said event.
CJ Talks Season 3 covered different lectures featuring several speakers in the morning. The lectures include news, editorial and feature writing, news reporting, layout and page designing, digital illustration, photojournalism, video editing, and mobile journalism.
In the afternoon, the Editor's Caucus and Sharing of Best Practices took place. Furthermore, during the Editor's Caucus, the student journalists participated in the earthquake drill. And later on, a tour at the Tagum City Historical and Cultural Center commenced.
