“You never know the silent battles people are fighting, even the people you think you’re the closest to.”
There are battles people fight behind closed doors, battles that even the closest friends will never know about. Some people wake up every morning from thoughts they never asked for, some carry wounds that cannot be seen while pretending everything is fine.
This Suicide Prevention and Awareness Month, let us remember that we can never really judge a book by it’s cover— because sometimes, some stories are never told. You never really know what people are going though behind every laugh, every smile and every reassurance. Be gentler, listen more, check on friends that suddenly go quiet.
You don’t need perfect words to make someone feel less alone. Sometimes, all it takes is letting someone know that they are seen. That someone cares, that someone is willing to fight their battles by their side, that they dont have to carry everything by themselves.
Your story deserves another page, to be seen, to be heard. Your are more than the pain you carry, you are more than every thought that burdened you, you are more than the moments that broke you. Sometimes, life feels heavy, but it doesn’t mean the end of your story.
